Dave Caissy, M.Ing., NPDP, PMP. As part of the team at Zins Beauchesne and Associates, Dave Caissy is the associate in charge of the New Product Management Service offered by the firm.
In 1996, he joined Nortel Networks as a new products engineer. His management skills soon earned him the responsibility of managing complex projects in fields related to new products. Throughout his employment with Nortel, he held a number of positions in the organization which gave him hands-on experience at all levels in new product development. He gained extensive experience in, and acquired excellent knowledge of, the different facets of new product management, with advanced expertise in the management of innovative product development. Dave Caissy is very active in the business community as a member of École Polytechnique de Montréal’s Advisory Board, the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He also acts as a trainer with the Institute of Products Development (www.idp-ipd.com) among intermediate and advanced members. He currently advises several Canadian and International businesses on improving new product performance, especially through the implementation of efficient businesses processes. Overall, Mr. Caissy has been involved over the last 12 years in the development of more than 150 new products, especially for hi-tech industries (telecoms, military, consumer and other markets) located on three different continents. He has lectured on the marketing of new products through the MBA program of Laval University, and he is currently lecturing on new product development at the master’s degree level at École Polytechnique de Montréal.
